Finally a couple weeks ago I made it to the Basque Market Tapas night. Then tried it again this week. The Easter themed tapas was different kinds of stuffed eggs, predominantly, and although eggs largely disagree with my constitution, I indulged…. The flavors were fun including the curry eggs. My favorite thing, however, was the port poached figs with cheese on the sandwich bread.
This week was a much more incredible selection from croquetas to basque cheeses with quince paste. The most mind blowing tapas was a ball shaped thing. Inside was a grape. Wrapped around the grape was blue cheese. The blue cheese was dipped in roasted and crushed almonds. Incredible.
Tuesdays and Thursdays they serve tapas, and tonight there is a class on making tapas, which they feature regularly. If you want to go with me, let me know!
